The Russian presidential election was held yesterday.

There were four candidates. The preliminary results from the Russian Central Election Commission are:

Dmitry Mevedev 70.24%
Gennady Zyuganov 17.75%
Vladimir Zhirinovsky 9.36%
Andrei Bogdanov 1.30%
